$699,000

Rare 480± acre recreational ranch opportunity in the Jolon-Pleyto/Lockwood backcountry of southern Monterey County - three contiguous APNs in the Santa Lucia foothills above Lake San Antonio, with BLM land directly adjacent on the west and north sides. Rolling oak-studded terrain, ravines, open meadows, and mixed brush, with primitive ranch roads, partial fencing, and long-range views overlooking Lake San Antonio and Lockwood Valley. A compelling holding for hunting, hiking, horseback riding, camping, or simply owning a substantial piece of Central Coast ranch country. The location offers exceptional regional recreation: Lake San Antonio and Lake Nacimiento for boating and fishing, the scenic Nacimiento-Ferguson Road to the Big Sur coast, historic Mission San Antonio de Padua, the emerging San Antonio Valley AVA wine region, and Fort Hunter Liggett's ~167,000-acre public hunt-and-fish program to the west. Unimproved, with no utilities and no deeded access. Personal property included: a newer manufactured cabin with unfinished interior and two storage containers.
